Simple Ways to Save Money without Completely Changing Your Lifestyle

Need tocut back on your Spending?? It doesn't have to be an all or nothing effort. A little change can go a long way.
Are you looking to save more money? Many people want to have more money in the bank for the future and emergencies, but some are afraid to give up all the things they have come to want and "need" over the years. There are ways to keep more money in your pocket, without giving up every single thing you love.
Make Your Splurges Last Longer
Let's take nail care and waxing as an example. These things are not necessities, but things many women spend money on regularly. Some women may want to look polished and professional for work. Others may just enjoy it. The normal routine for waxing and getting acrylic or gel nails done is every two weeks. If you are spending $40 a trip and going every two weeks, you will spend $1,040 by the end of the year. There is no reason you can not stretch these beauty routines out to every three weeks. Choose light colors for the back of your nails so that the look lasts longer. Going every three weeks at $40 a pop will only cost you $693 a year. This is an automatic savings a $347.
No more Fancy Coffee Drinks
Specialty coffee drinks from Starbucks and other similar chains can add up fast. If you are getting one everyday, you can easily spend $30 a week on coffee alone. Buy a reusable plastic cup and straw that resemble the cups they use at these chains. They even come in super cute colors such as baby pink and purple. Make your own drinks at home using coffee and flavored creamers.
Never Pay Full Price
If you must have a designer wardrobe, at least don't pay full price for it. Ralph Lauren, Coach, Nike and many other top retailers have outlet stores where popular items can be purchased for 20% to 70% off. Some items are made specifically for factory stores, while other items are overstock or left over items from a previous display at the full price store. A shirt can be $70 in April and you can get it for $45 by June at the outlet. Check out the Tanger Outlets page for a list of outlet stores in your area.
Shop at multiple Grocery Stores
Devoting a day to heading to multiple places can save on dollars. This plan may not work too well if you live in a rural area where you would have to spend a ton on gas to do this. But if you live in a populated area, it can lead to big savings. Get the best sales on meat, cheese, soda and other expensive items by going to which ever stores are having the greatest sales. Be sure to go armed with coupons to get the biggest and best savings. Buy your shampoo, paper towel and other bathroom and cleaning products at a 99 cent store. These items can add up in a grocery store or drug store.
